Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. If you are interested in helping MBPC with the Presbytery's Habitat for Humanity project, please contact our church office by emailing sgregson@mbpcusa.org to sign up as a volunteer.

The Dannon Project: The Dannon Project is focused on creating sustainable programs that positively shape individuals and communities. All programs and services are provided free of charge to qualifying youth and adult participants. Participants are empowered to enter a diverse job market through education and training. Dannon Project programs are designed to support participants at their point of entry. Participants also have access to additional services such as childcare, healthcare, and housing through our network of affiliate partners. Our goal is to achieve economic stability through living wage employment for participants and their families.

Magic City Harvest: Since 1995, Magic City Harvest has been recovering excess food to help combat hunger and reduce food waste across Jefferson, Shelby, and Talladega counties. Our primary focus is recovering and distributing perishable food donated from grocery stores, restaurants, schools and hospitals. We also work to encourage advocacy regarding hunger, and create and/or support collaborative partnerships focused on these issues. The food we donate to feeding agencies provides as many as 537,000 meals through the 30 agencies we support. Consider supporting the important work we are doing through volunteering your time or making a donation.

Angel Tree: This mission of Prison Fellowship Ministries, which began in Birmingham, provides Christmas gifts for children whose incarcerated parent (or parents) wish their children to receive a Christmas present in that parent s name. Now nationwide, this mission brings the unique joy of the Christmas message to highly at-risk children reared in poverty and social ridicule and reestablishes the parent-child relationship.

Serving You Ministries: Providing hope to families in the greater Birmingham area by providing sustainable solutions to challenges they face. We assist in education, child care, job readiness, safe and affordable housing, health and nutrition, and crisis relief through our hub partnerships.
