SPENCER BISSELL

DIRECTOR, CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

 

Spencer Bissell is originally from Marietta, Georgia but moved to Birmingham in 2015. Spencer is the oldest child of John and Renee Bissell. His younger brother Conner Bissell attends the University of Georgia. Spencer holds a Bachelors in History and Classical Studies from Samford University. Spencer has worked with children with disabilities, english as a second language students, and other students in writing, speech, and reading comprehension. He was one of the co-directors and the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics grant chief tutor at the Samford University Writing Center.

Spencer started attending MBPC in the Fall of 2018 and has taken the position of Director of Christian Education as of summer 2019. He hopes to help in every manner in bringing a larger youth presence and expanding the reach of MBPC to as many as he can. He has a great passion for the Bible Times at Brookwood and has helped with the Bible Times Marketplace at Independent Presbyterian Church.

Spencer Bissell hopes to go to medical school in the near future. He also has an immense passion for church history, the Latin language, and history in general.
